Varoomit was founded in 2009 by Robert White and Dave Brenner with the vision to change the way that commercial realtors along with buyers, sellers and investors use the web to list and search for properties and make it easier, convenient, more flexible and less expensive than other incumbent solutions.  Robert and Dave both bring a wealth of talent from hands-on real estate experience to a long history of success in creating and building technology companies.

 

After spending thousands of dollars a month on multiple membership and commercial listing services themselves, they decided to build a better service with more value to members beyond just listing properties.  Their vision is to create a dynamic environment for members to not only list their properties but connect with other people involved in Commercial Real Estate.  They want Varoomit members to use the site as a key tool to drive their business success.

Executive Profile - Robert E White

 

Robert White is co-founder and executive officer at Varoomit, an Internet technology company that markets a membership-based listing and social business network service to the commercial real estate industry. The company offers buyers and sellers of commercial real estate a high-quality, high-value solution for buying, selling and leasing properties.  His responsibilities include developing the company vision, marketing, sales, business development, and company strategy.  Robert also interfaces directly with large corporate commercial real estate accounts while handling day to day business.

 

Robert is a results-driven business and technology leader with 20 years of business and information technology experience in various leadership roles including management, operations, sales, strategy, planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and program management / execution.   He also has worked in global operations including building and implementing detailed business plans and solutions across international teams. Robert has a proven track record of delivering real business value with bottom line results.

 

Robert has worked with a variety of industry-leading companies.  He started in technology as Senior Account Executive at Gartner in their executive programs group where he was responsible for large accounts over $4B in revenues.  Robert successfully grew his region by 60% and helped to create Gartner's fastest growing business unit.  He also leveraged new opportunities for additional Gartner services such as Core Research and Consulting in addition to his contributions towards cost savings strategies and reporting.  

 

Robert was one of the first employees at The NexGen Group a start-up IT management consultancy where he was VP of Sales. Roberts responsibilities included leading a direct sales team, establishing partner relationships with integrators and software vendors.  Following NexGen, Robert worked in a capacity as a Business Development Solutions Director with Whitman Hart where he was responsible for solving business development issues at all of the branch offices in the U.S.  This included filling in roles as sales executive, regional manager, branch manager, sales manager, all while putting solutions together to solve any business development issues.

 

Most recently, Robert worked for Cap Gemini / Ernst & Young for 5 years in various sales and leadership roles. His responsibilities included selling management consulting and information technology projects and consulting services to business and IT executives.
